Why did we call our project “LINUX iso - Modern Operating Systems”? It is clear from the name. It contains of two parts - Linux and iso. The meaning of the first word is clear, and we will tell you more about the second one. In most cases, modern Linux OS is distributed free of charge, via Internet. A manufacturing company uploads its operating system (or a free version of its distribution disk) as a file to a file server for free download via internet. The format of such file most often will be the following: linux.iso, where linux is the name of the file of a specific distribution kit. And iso is the file extension which, in our case, symbolizes the possibility of free OS download, because download files (so called iso images) are mostly stored in this format. In this way, “LINUX iso - Modern Operation Systems” means the opportunity of procuring a modern Linux operating system for free or almost for free!
